Just found the REBORN WKIX-AM Channel 85-Oldies Radio

Most folks arounf the Triangle grew up with the fmous WKIX-AM Channel 85 back in the 1950`s-1970`s. It was of the top radio stations in the USA! Over the years sadly, the WKIX-AM Channel 85 call letters, music and jingles disappeared from 85 on the AM dial. However, I am very happy to sya that it all is BACK on the air 24 hours a day! And yes, they have all of the old PAMS jingles. I just LOVE this music, jingles and this radio station! Also, Charlie Brown who I remember from CHannel 85 back in the 1960`s is on there LIVE today! WOW!!! What a great Christmas gift! They are playing TONS of great Oldies!

I've been a huge fan (reborn again) since last February (2010) when they first brought the station back to life, and just to think it was by coincidence that I even found it so early on as I just happened to be cranking up some of my old tube radios for their annual warm-ups to keep their filter capacitors from going bad. I wasn't expecting to find anything but talk on the AM band but when I was scanning the band just to see what was out there... Woot! KIX made my day!!! Now I actually have a good use for my collection of antique tube radios again too, plus many of the oldies were recorded to match the resonance of those old tube radios back in those days, and trust me it does make a difference.
Ah, and there's nothing like having a good old-fashion Charlie Brown Christmas too!
