RALEIGH, N.C. - Local businesses are being encouraged to sharpen their customer service skills for late January - that’s when Raleigh will host the 2011 NHL All-Star Weekend. The popular event will put the Capital City on the world stage, as thousands descend on the Triangle for the game and millions of others watch from around the world. To help the region make the best possible impression, Wake Tech will offer a special presentation of its award-winning Customer Service training at the RBC Center. The class, presented in partnership with the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2011.

The All-Star Customer Service Class is open to all front-line hospitality staff, including managers and employees of hotels and restaurants, as well as small business owners and retail salespeople. The class includes sessions on teamwork, guest challenges, telephone techniques and more. The cost is $35 per person, which includes all materials. To register, visit http://www.visitraleigh.com/dmc/emails/customer-care/ or call 645-2661.

The program is sponsored by the Greater Raleigh Community Hospitality Partnership, Wake Tech Community College, Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the N.C. Restaurant and Lodging Association.
