Six states now allow gay marriage. When will NC follow suit?

California joins Iowa, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and the District of Columbia in giving equal rights to gay/lesbian couples.

The right to marry is recognized as a fundamental right by the U.S. Supreme Court. It is no more constitutional to deprive a gay couple from marrying than it is to say a white person and a black person can't marry.

Miscegenation laws were struck down when I was just a child. How much longer will it be before North Carolina stops outright discriminating against its own populace?

No, I'm as straight as the shortest distance between two points. Ask my lovely wife, Wifehorn Leghorn. Yes, I attended a gay "commitment ceremony" with not one but two ministers, in Duke Chapel last summer, for my two wonderful gay friends.

It's time to start pushing hard for this in North Carolina. You've already seen that the gay marriages in six other states didn't have any negative effect on homosexual marriages.

Bring it.

Homosexuals have EXACTLY the same right to marry as anyone else. Any unattached adult male may marry any willing unattached female regardless of race, religion, or national origin. ALL of us have EXACTLY the same right to marry.
