Children-Run Community Yard Sale to Benefit International Charity
Raleigh, N.C., Sept. 16, 2013 – Evolve Movement is hosting a community yard sale run by area youth this Saturday, Sept. 21, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at its Cameron Village studio, located at 219 Oberlin Road in Raleigh. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Free The Children’s Adopt a Village program. The public is invited to drop off gently used items between noon and 1 p.m. Unsold merchandise will be donated to the Salvation Army following the sale.
Local kids have a chance for their imaginations and talents to run wild, with booths showcasing their handmade crafts. The public is invited to shop the sale and visit the kids’ booths.
The yard sale is part of Evolve Movement’s year-long campaign to raise money and awareness for people in need, both locally and abroad. The events culminate in July 2014, when a group of local families will travel to Ecuador to build a school for an impoverished village in the Chimborazo province.
