International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is coming again on March 8, 2013.   A Place for Women to Gather is sponsoring this free event at Pullen Memorial Church, 1801 Hillsborough St., Raleigh.  

International Women’s Day was established in 1911, and in 32 countries it is a national holiday, also known as The UN Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. Women from around the Triangle will have the opportunity to join with women all over the world in observing this special occasion. There will be workshops, panel discussions, and a variety of activities, exhibits and entertainment.   It will be a time to get to know other women, learn about opportunities for women, a chance to become involved, and just enjoy an afternoon of fun and creativity.
