The Wake County Bar Association proudly announces that it will be offering the People’s Law School.  The People’s Law School will offer free legal courses in a wide variety of topics for any member of the public who wishes to learn a little bit more about the law.  Classes, which will be taught by local lawyers, will be offered on the following topics:  Understanding the Legal System, Bankruptcy, Traffic Court, Custody/Child Support, Landlord/Tenant Issues, Estate Planning, and Advocate’s for Children’s Services’ Push Out Prevention Project, a program geared toward dismantling the school to prison pipeline in schools.

The event will be held at Campbell Law School on Saturday, January 19, 2013.  Registration begins at 8:30 AM and classes will be from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Each course is an hour long and attendees can choose three different classes to take.  The address for Campbell Law School is 225 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.  Anyone interested in attending can contact Colleen Glatfelter at the Wake County Bar Association via phone at (919) 667-9903 or email at Colleen@wakecountybar.org.
