Zinda New Asian's celebrity bartender event series
Watch local celebrities pour their hearts out! Zinda New Asian launches "Celebrity Bartender" next week; a year-long event series created to raise awareness and funds for nonprofits. On the second Wednesday each month of 2013, 10 percent of bar proceeds from the evening will be donated to that month’s nonprofit partner.
The kickoff event features former Carolina Hurricanes NHL star Bates Battaglia and former NFL Patriots standout Adalius Thomas on January 9, 2013 at Zinda. The nonprofit partner is Hope for Haiti Foundation, in commemoration of the earthquake that devastated Haiti three years ago.
“The entire staff at Zinda is excited to kick off the Celebrity Bartender Series,” said Amanda Manares, Events Manager at Zinda. “The caliber of celebrities has surpassed our expectations. These ‘big names,’ are donating their time for big causes.”
Doors open at 5 p.m., the event begins at 6 p.m., with fundraising until 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Guests will also be able to make open donations to the nonprofit partners.
“We are honored that so many affluent personalities are willing to step behind the bar to help out these worthwhile charities,” said G Patel, President of Eschelon Hospitality. “We hope to not only raise funds, but more importantly raise awareness for their causes.”
Participating nonprofit partners throughout the year include Jimmy V Foundation, American Heart Association, Pretty in Pink Foundation, and many more. The year will be capped off with a black tie gala in December, benefitting all 11 nonprofits.
