RTPCFO Forum LogoThe RTP CFO Forum (www.rtpcfos.com) will hold its next monthly meeting on Friday, October 5, 2012. The organization serves as a peer-to-peer networking and discussion opportunity for more than 200 senior financial executives in the Triangle area. This meeting will feature Sean King, managing director of Align Global Consulting. Align Global Consulting is a nationally recognized practice that focuses on international tax planning for both the outbound operations of U.S. multinationals and inbound operations of foreign multinationals. King will lead an interactive discussion on what needs to be done to prepare a company to do business in another country to include:

  • Structuring cross-border ventures
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Internal restructuring of operations
  • Supply chain management
  • Cross-border financing
  • Transfer pricing
  • International licensing of intellectual property

Many companies are looking to international markets for growth opportunities,” says Will Eglin, organizer of this month’s forum and CFO of IEM. “Proper tax and business planning is vital to the success of international ventures.”

King is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association where he serves as vice-chair of the International Law Section. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and holds a Master of Laws degree in taxation, magna cum laude, from the Chicago-Kent School of Law. He is a widely known speaker on the cross-border structuring of investments, achieving inclusion in The International Who's Who of Corporate Tax Lawyers in 2009.
