Raleigh, N.C. (Aug. 29, 2012) – Tickets purchased before August 31stare $100. Tickets purchased after August 31 are $125 per person. So don’t procrastinate – purchase your 2012 tickets for the 11thannual Big Bad Ball today, save $25 and enjoy a night out at this year’s Sophisticated Soiree, Where It’s Good To Be Bad.

 

“This is truly a value for a night of unbeatable entertainment," said Courtney Harris, co-chair of this year’s ball. “In addition to six hours of dinner, dancing and chances to win door prize from Fink's Jewelers, there will also be a 50/50 raffle. Attendees will enjoy the music of two great bands, five open bars, a wide selection of hors d’oeuvres and a late-night breakfast, all while supporting Hospice of Wake County.” 

The 2012 fundraiser gala will be held Saturday, September 29thfrom 7p.m. – 1a.m. at theRaleigh’s Capital City Club and will feature live music performed by tHE.DESIGN and The Casablanca Orchestra. All proceeds from ticket sales, the silent auction and the 50/50 the raffle will benefit Hospice of Wake County’s Benevolent Care Program.

 

This year for door prizes, Fink’s Jewelers is donating a Norman Silverman pendant necklace featuring a pear shaped diamond center stone of .50 carat weight with .19 carats of pave diamonds surrounding in 18 karat white gold and matching earrings that feature 2 pear shaped center stones with .58 total weight and .39 carats of surrounding diamonds in 18 karat white gold.

 

The Big Bad Ball benefits Hospice of Wake County’s Benevolent Care Program and Horizons Grief Center. This annual event is one of the leading fundraisers for Hospice of Wake County. In 2011, hundreds of guests attended the annual event and $100,000 was raised.  This level of fund-raising translates into 667 days of Hospice care and will allow Hospice to maintain a benevolent care fund, from which the cost of extending care to patients without means can be covered.  Hospice of Wake County extends assistance beyond Wake by serving Durham, Johnston, Harnett and Franklin Counties. Over $1,000,000 has been raised through this event since 2001.
