Raleigh, NC (June 5, 2012)– Hospice of Wake County’s black-tie benefit, Big Bad Ball, celebrates its eleventh anniversary with a new theme in 2012.  Sal Conino, partner at Media Partners, Inc., agency of record for Hospice of Wake County, announced the theme for 2012 as A Sophisticated Soiree, Where It’s Good To Be Bad.

The Big Bad Ball is an annual fundraiser for Hospice of Wake County and is presented by The Capital City Club’s Young Executives.  This year’s ball is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, from 7 PM until 1 AM at the Capital City Club in downtown Raleigh.

The theme builds on the benefit’s previous history of outstanding music, food, and fun associated with a glittering gala, all with the purpose of raising much-needed money for services provided by Hospice of Wake County to patients and families in Wake and surrounding areas facing life-altering health crises.  Over the past ten years, the Big Bad Ball has raised more than $1 million dollars.  Last year, the funds raised from the event provided over 630 days of patient care for those who might otherwise not be able to afford medical treatment.

“When we were asked to first come up with the look and feel for the Big Bad Ball three years ago, we were delighted,” said Nancy Bono, Partner at MPI.  “The opportunity each year to assist in this worthy cause thrills MPI, and we’re looking forward to bringing the theme and associated marketing materials to the public.”

Conino added, “Last year, the tenth anniversary, was huge, but we want each year to build on and be bigger…and “badder”…than the previous ball.  A “soiree” is a gathering, a get-together, a rendezvous.  This depicted a brilliant setting for raising money.”
